Run for Your Life 5k 2017

The 7th annual PNWU Students' Run For Your Life 5k and Health Fair brought to you by Sundown M Ranch will be held April 8th, 2017. The course will be open long enough to allow all participants, both walkers and runners, to complete the event in a comfortable amount of time.
All ages are invited to attend and participate in either part of the event- the fun run and/or health fair, bring your family for a day of fun and learning!
The health fair will be feature booths sponsored by various organizations, clubs, and medical students educating on topics ranging from physical fitness and health, to preventative and osteopathic medicine.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Northwest Harvest's Three Squares Backpack Program-- to ensure that no child goes hungry. To learn more about the great things they do and how you can help by using the websites below: http://www.northwestharvest.org/

Included in the entry cost is our 2017 Run for Your Life t-shirt. Please select your t-shirt size at checkout so that we can order accordingly. For only $15.00, you may also order your Run for Your Life 2017 Liberty Bottleworks water bottle at the time of checkout.
Number and Race Bag Pick-Up: Number pick-up will be available starting at 7:00am on the day of the race at Butler Haney Hall on the PNWU campus. Additionally, keep an eye on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RFYL5k/?ref=bookmarks and website https://rfyl5k.org/ for announcements on additional packet pick-up times on the day before the race.
Course: The race begins and ends in the Pacific Northwest University (PNWU) parking lot. This course winds around follows along University Parkway before looping around Keys Rd and Terrace Heights Drive. Please be aware that no roads will be officially closed for this race, but we will have plenty of course marshalls available for your safety. Also, note, that just as in past years, the course does cross train tracks in two locations. Although we do not anticipate this to be a problem, we do not have control of the trains, and much like in past years, cannot guarantee that a train will not cross the course during the event. Portions of the course will be restricted to the sidewalk for the safety of participants and motorists. Water stations will be available at approximately miles 1 and 2. Please see map for details.
Timing and Awards: Just as in past years, there will be a large digital clock at the end of the course for runners to document their times. The first 15 finishers will be officially recorded, and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 runners, as well as the first place male and female finishers.
Post-Race: We will have a selection of post-race refreshments. Please stop by and see our Health Fair located on the Pacific Northwest University campus in Butler-Haney Hall. We will also be hosting a raffle and a free kids' fun run at the conclusion of the 5k. There is no sign up for the kids' run.
Parking: Parking is available at the start on the PNWU campus at 200 University Parkway, as well as across the street at Iron Horse Lodge.
