Rumi & The Way of Passion: Ashland Events with Andrew Harvey
Internationally renowned spiritual activist-teacher and best selling author, Andrew Harvey will be holding a public evening talk on Rumi on Thursday, May 18 from 7-9pm. This event will be held at the Unitarian Church on 87 Fourth Street in Ashland. This public meeting will be followed by a weekend Rumi Festival on May 20-21 at the Old Siskiyou Barn, 2600 Old Highway 99 S in Ashland. Andrew Harvey will be speaking this weekend on Jalal-ud-Din Rumi, the supreme 13th century mystic poet of humanity who is now the most-widely read spiritual writer in America. Andrew Harvey has been studying Rumi’s work for 30 years and will present his electric vision of Rumi’s life, mystical journey, and Divine philosophy, stressing their essential importance to the massive transformation that is taking place in our contemporary crisis. This is an unprecedented opportunity to discover the radiant gems of wisdom hidden within the beloved poetry and life of today’s most popular poet in order to birth yourself as a divine human and begin creating heaven on earth.
About Andrew Harvey
Andrew Harvey is an Oxford trained mystical scholar who has synthesized practices and secret wisdom of mystical traditions throughout the world into a universal spiritual message of the inner unity at the heart of all traditions. He has taught at Oxford, Cornell, Hobart and Smith Colleges, California Institute of Integral Studies, and UCS. Honors he has received include the Benjamin Franklin Award and the Mind Body Spirit Award and the Christmas Humphries Award.
