Event description

Description

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning is a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor...Welcome and entertain them all. Treat each guest honorably. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.” -RUMI!

Do you love the poetry of RUMI?!

Do you want to know what it feels like to experience the ecstasy of Divine Love?

Are you ready to dive into the poetry of the Sufis beyond your intellect and into the depths of your Being?

Then do not miss this 2 hour workshop where you will embody the Divine through the mystical practices described in Sufi poetry. Together we will explore our origin in Divine Love through:

1. Kundalini Yoga & Meditation- Yoga postures combined with breath work to raise the Kundalini Energy.

2. Gazing- By gazing into an other’s eyes, one sees the other of an extension of ones’ Self and God.

3. Remembrance- Sufi incantations in a healing prayer circle.

4. Recitation of Rumi's poetry.

There is no wonder that Sufi Poetry, especially that of Rumi, has found an audience in this age of high speed internet and social media. Almost 750 years later, Rumi is one of the most revered and read poets of the modern world. Rumi was a 13th-century Persian Muslim poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic. Sufism is the mystical branch of Islam that focuses the underlying force that binds all people together, beyond dogma and cultural difference. That force is LOVE. Sufi poets remind us that the full range of human experience of love...separation, longing, sorrow, and grief can be also be portals to the Divine.
