Description
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro will be offering safe harbor for addressing the difficult challenges that disability poses as a matter of law and policy by sponsoring three lectures by Rud Turnbull, a scholar of disability policy and an advocate for people with disabilities, especially those who have intellectual and related developmental disabilities and those who have mental health disabilities.
Rud and Ann Turnbull, parents of a son with a disability and professors in the disability field, tell how to not only survive but also to prevail in spite of the challenges of disability. They offer humor (some of it ribald), honesty, and humility.
