RTP Mindfulness Meditation Workshop
Charles Francis will be speaking about research based findings surrounding meditation – (increased conscientiousness, more creativity, decreased stress, more productivity) and will speak to benefits both on a personal level and application in the workplace. After the presentation there will be a demonstration where all can participate.
About the Speaker
Charles A. Francis is the cofounder and director of the Mindfulness Meditation Institute, and author of the new book, “Mindfulness Meditation Made Simple: Your Guide to Finding True Inner Peace” (Paradigm Press). He is also the creator of the “12 Steps of the Mindfulness Meditation Practice,” and a regular Huffington Post contributor.
Charles has master's degrees in International Relations and Public Administration from Syracuse University, with a focus on health care management and policy. He has worked for the North Carolina State Senate in writing legislation to address childhood obesity, and government efficiency.
Charles has studied the practice of mindfulness with Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, and for over 20 years he has worked to help people find inner peace through mindfulness meditation. He is a speaker and consultant, and leads workshops and retreats in Raleigh, NC where he resides.
