This April 5th, you are invited to take a half a day to get inspired about writing, publishing, and books at RT Book Camp.
What is RT Book Camp?
It's an unconference hosted in conjunction with 2011's Romantic Times Book Lovers Convention. Attendees will be members of the publishing community in LA or those attending the RT conference. Sessions at this unconference will be suggested by and led by attendees. Session topics can include brainstorming an idea, discussing a current issue in publishing, or teaching a skill.
(Still not sure? You can view information about past Book Camp sessions here and check out the community here.)
Why RT Book Camp?
Because we all know a million smart people in the west coast publishing community who love books, but never really get a chance to talk with them. This is your chance to bring that great idea you've been turning over in your head and figure out a way to make it happen. Or maybe host a discussion about a burning topic, like ebook pricing or geographical restrictions or building a community. If you're looking to spark a conversation, meet more folks in your field, or learn something new, this is the place to do it.
This event is free thanks to our generous sponsors: RT Book Lovers Convention, Booksquare, Smart Bitches, Trashy Novels, Dear Author, Kobo, Copia, O’Reilly Media, All Romance eBooks/ARe Cafe.
When & Where
Book^2 (pronounced “Book Squared”) Camp is a free series of meetings in New York City and elsewhere where the brightest minds in Publishing and Technology discuss and problem-solve what the next incarnation of the book will be.
There will be as many different points of view and out-of-the-box thinkers in the same room as we can fit in with the blessing of the fire brigade.
