The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) will hold its first-ever math Olympiad on April 25, 2014. The competition was specially designed for novice and veteran competitors alike, ensuring that both will have a range of fun and challenging problems to solve. Developed by an international team of math professionals, the RSM Olympiad also offers parents a tool to compare their child's math knowledge against an international bar.
We hope this Olympiad will enable participants to experience the excitement, fun, and intellectual challenge of mathematics.
This individual competition is open to students in Grades 2 - 9 and will run for 75 minutes.
Registration is free but space is limited. You do not have to be an RSM student to participate.
RSM’s unique approach develops critical thinking and has built excellence in math since 1997. Recently featured in the Atlantic magazine as one of the players in the “Math Revolution,” and ranked one of the best schools in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, RSM helps children of all levels build a solid math foundation and develop their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. For nearly two decades, RSM students have consistently achieved remarkable scores on standardized tests and in national and international math competitions, although attaining top test scores is just one of the benefits of our program. RSM helps students of all levels become more confident in math and develop a deeper understanding of the subject.
