Background Information
- It is an outreach event to all rural, regional and remote women, key stakeholders of rural and regional Queensland and across Australia.
- Ask your burning questions.
- It provides a unique platform for rural and regional women, thought leaders, parliamentarians, business people, community leaders and funding groups to come together and hear from our keynote speakers and discuss key issues impacting on rural and regional women. Rural and regional women are acknowledged to underpin rural and regional communities and economies.
- It provides an opportunity to be a part of defining the roadmap Toward 2030 and joining us on on our journey throughout our Toward 2030 initiative that will deliver a report and action points.
The current circumstances of Covid-19 and the many pre-existing impacts on rural and regional communities over recent years demonstrate there is a need for groups that focus on the needs of rural, regional and remote women. The impacts on women are unique and we need tailored responses to ensure that RRR women and our regions are not left behind.
The public forum is part of our ‘Toward 2030 Program’ and our organisational response to Covid-19. If you have a vision for ‘RRR Women – Toward 2030’ join us and contribute to the future. A report will be prepared by our member Pam Greet of FutureAg, regarding the event with clear action points to address matters raised.
QRRRWN acknowledges the support of the Office of Women, our key funding body the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal and the generous donation of time by all presenters. We also acknowledge our event sponsors: FutureAg, Merino Country, House Paddock Training & Consulting, Erika Entz QRRRWN Board Member and The Red Road Collective.
