LEED Tour of White Castle's Home Office
OVERVIEW:
Join USGBC's East North Central Region for a virtual tour of White Castle’s new headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
White Castle’s Home Office provides us with an opportunity to look inside the famous slider sensation’s inner workings. Discover White Castle’s sustainability roots and the green building features integrated into their new Home Office to help them achieve LEED-CI v4 Gold certification. This event will provide an educational opportunity for our community and members to see a successfully completed LEED certified Commercial Interiors project.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Identify how White Castle achieved LEED Gold certification through the LEED v4 ID+C Commercial Interiors rating system.
- Understand the key differentiations between the LEED v4 ID+C and BD+C rating systems.
- Discover key strategies for integrating green building materials for both the LEED v4 Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality credit categories.
- Explore options for sustainability beyond the LEED checklist, including WELL, TRUE and responsible stewardship.
