RPC Regathering

Registrations are closed

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, as some aspects of the service will be unique given social distancing guidelines: The church doors will open and seating will begin at 10:40 AM to provide ample time for in-person attendees to check-in and get to their seats while observing social distancing. Do not attend services at RPC if you are sick or if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, or any respiratory symptoms. We require everyone to practice social distancing (staying 6 feet apart at all times, except from those within your household) at the church. Face masks are required for everyone 10-years and older and are recommended for children over 2. Please bring your own mask as the church only has a limited supply. INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DAY OF: Arrival: Doors will be propped open. Please leave doors open to avoid these touch points. If there is a line to enter the sanctuary, please practice social distancing as you wait. Upon entering the sanctuary, a volunteer will direct you to your assigned seat(s). Please be flexible as you may not be seated in an area in which you usually sit. We encourage the giving of tithes/offerings through tithe.ly. For those who prefer to give by cash or check, a collection station will be available as you enter the sanctuary. Departure: Please wait for your section to be dismissed at the end of service. This will allow for a staggered dismissal. After-Service Fellowship: An area in the parking lot will be designated for those who wish to gather after the service for informal fellowship. Social distancing should continue to be maintained while socializing.

About this event

Please ensure you've read the church's policies on re-gathering, as well as the following items, before submitting your response. The measures we are taking in this time are intended to focus on our call to take care of one another. To guarantee seating, you must RSVP by Saturday at 5pm.

The church doors will open and seating will begin at 10:40 AM on Sunday to provide ample time for in-person attendees to check-in and get to their seats while observing social distancing.

There will be no nursery nor classes for children, youth, or adults at the church building; all of those attending are invited to join us in the sanctuary. Diaper changing areas are available in the bathrooms.

We apologize that the system uses terms such as "sales" and "tickets", as these do not apply to our worship service. However, this system, although imperfect, will help minimize logistical challenges as we regather. Thank you for your patience as we work hard to ensure that the service goes as smoothly and safely as possible during this challenging time.

If you registered to attend the in-person service but need to cancel, please contact the church office(office@restonpres.org) so we can make your seat(s) available for others.

Current Policies for In-Person Services:

Please read carefully, as some aspects of the service will be unique given social distancing guidelines:

At this time, RPC will be offering one service on Sundays at 11:00 am. The measures we are taking in this time of COVID-19 are intended to focus on our call to take care of one another rather than to restrict individuals.

We wish to remind everyone that it is still safer at home. Those 65 or over and those with underlying health conditions should carefully consider when they should return to worshiping at the church building. The service will be live-streamed over Facebook so all members of the church can participate. We also wish to remind everyone that this situation is temporary. We look forward to the day we can gather as the Church, in the church building, without restrictions.

Our one service at 11:00 am will be a Family Service where those who wish to attend in person will meet in the sanctuary. This service will be live streamed on Facebook Live.

The church doors will open and seating will begin at 10:40 AM to provide ample time for in-person attendees to check-in and get to their seats while observing social distancing.

There will be no Nursery, Children or Youth Classes, or adult discipleship classes at the church. Our classrooms will be closed, and all children are invited to the main service. Diaper changing areas are available in the bathrooms.

Our capacity is limited by social distancing requirements. Once we reach our seating capacity in the sanctuary, we will have overflow seating in the foyer. We do not plan to turn anyone away, however, please remember that we are required to follow State guidelines. To guarantee seating, you must RSVP.

Do not attend services at RPC if you are sick or if you have a fever, cough, sore throat, or any respiratory symptoms. If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or believe you may have been exposed to the virus, you must self-quarantine for at least 14 days with no symptoms before attending in person.

We require everyone to practice social distancing (staying 6 feet apart at all times, except from those within your household) at the church. Refrain from physical contact with those outside your immediate family. No handshaking, hugs, high-fives, etc.

Hand sanitizers will be available in the lobby.

Church restrooms will be open, but social distancing is more difficult in confined spaces. Therefore, we request you avoid using the church bathrooms if possible, by using your facilities at home before coming. There will be signs and tape to guide circulation around them to remind people to stay 6 feet apart.

Sanctuary, bathrooms, touch points, etc. will be sanitized before/after each service.

Face masks are required for everyone 10-years and older and are recommended for children over 2. Please bring your own mask as the church only has a limited supply.

We will take appropriate measures to ensure the maximum air circulation in the sanctuary. Please be aware that the sanctuary may be warmer or cooler than you find comfortable, depending on the weather.
