Description

To retail or not to retail? That is the question. Product entrepreneurs have many options when deciding their sales channel. Online? Small boutiques? Larger stores? Wholesale only? Open your own shop? The possibilities seem endless, and there is a lot involved in making this decision. Join Brazen as we discuss the opportunities, challenges and pitfalls of deciding where to sell.

Kara Newmark, Founder & President of Sweetology, is a serial entrepreneur. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from Washington University School of Law. However, early on in her career she realized that her passion was building things. Late in the 1990s she left the practice of law to go to her first start-up and hasn't looked back. Kara left her last position as COO of a start-up company in order to begin her own journey with Sweetology, she "was ready to make a leap." Sweetology is the first dedicated entertainment retail concept in the country and is focused on being in every city and every kitchen in America!

Tendai Morris, is known to her clients as The Hair Whisperer. 30 years of experience behind the chair has taught her not only how to service almost any salon client from head to toe, but it has also helped her to zero in on one area of expertise with full confidence: natural healthy hair services. Her passion for educating consumers on proper hair care and maintnenace led her to develop trademark products and techniques - including her signature Whisper Whip Hydration Product, sold online and in stores.
