Event description
Join us for a discussion with Dr. Brian Frank as he shares highlights from a pilot with OHSU about the role of CHW in employer health plans.

About this event

Community Health Workers (CHW) are trusted members of a community who help others learn how to be healthy and identify services to meet needs like food insecurity, housing instability and financial stress. CHW services are associated with better health outcomes and reduced health care costs.

In addition to improvements in cost and outcomes, making these services available through employers may also lead to increased job satisfaction. During this roundtable discussion, Dr. Brian Frank will share learnings from a survey and subsequent development of pilot study at OHSU highlighting the potential opportunity to include CHW services as part of the employer health plan.

Who should attend? Cambia Grove’s roundtables welcome any interested stakeholder to participate. This event is geared towards purchasers, health plan professionals, or other stakeholders working to reduce costs and improve health outcomes.

The conversation is recorded and shared with the community at large.
