About this event
Join us for the second event in the Museum’s roundtable series of seminal panel discussions. Expert panelists discuss the ongoing effort to correct Russian and Soviet colonialism in Ukrainian cinema. Panelists will include Dr. Yuri Shevchuk, Senior Lecturer in Ukrainian at Columbia University; Dr. Myroslav Shkandrij, Professor Emeritus of Ukrainian Literature and Language at the University of Manitoba; Ivan Kozlenko, former director of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko Center and author of “Cinema as the Apparatus of Anti-Colonial Discourse” in the essay collection Ukraine! Unmuted; and Dr. Yana Prymachenko, Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Registration is required.
