Event Information
About this Event
The Rotary Action Group Against Slavery will be hosting a webinar sharing some perspective on the great progress that has been made in the fight against modern-day slavery/ human trafficking and next steps.
In Addition to keynote speaker (TIP) Ambassador John Cotton Richmond and Val Richey (OSCE) we will have insightful panel discussions on: Health Care/ What needs to be done to make a difference, Financial Services: What needs to be done to make a difference, Survivor Services: What needs to be done to make a difference: Speaker on Education/Prevention.
Many Thanks to Laura Ellsworth, Jones Day, Matt Friedman, The Mekong Club and Dave McCleary, Global Chair Rotary Action Group Against Slavery for co-chairing the event. Rotary International, composed of community leaders from local chapters throughout the world, is committed to generating these critical Partnerships by fostering the exchange of best practices among its grassroots members, national and local governments, NGOs, law enforcement, business, and individual communities, allowing all of these sectors to learn from one another, thereby multiplying the effectiveness of all. This Summit brings together front-line experts from all of these domains, but its goal is not identification of the problem: it is the design of creative solutions. Participants will discuss what is working and what is not in the fight against human trafficking, with the goal of identifying specific action plans going forward.
