We invite you to join us on an exciting 5 day rose safari from 07.-11.04.19 in Kenya to get to know and explore everything about growing high quality scented garden roses at one of the most sought after rose farms - Tambuzi.

Experience Kenyan hospitality at the foot of Mount Kenya, smell Tambuzi roses, design a dinner table in the rose fields and be a rose explorer for a little while.

Enjoy organic floral heaven with us. Meet the owners Tim and Maggie Hobbs of Tambuzi, see how Tambuzi roses are fair traded and grown and learn the full product cycle from seeding to packing. This is a unique opportunity and the first of its kinds to get close to the heart of our flowers and follow the journey of a Tambuzi premium rose followed by a floral workshop with internationally renowned floral designer Ercole Moroni from Italy and design a dinner table in the rose fields using the most special scented garden roses Kenya has to offer.

- Arrival in Nairobi until 9am latest, otherwise please arrange arrival for 06.04. with overnight in Nairobi (overnight at Ibis at 90US$/person can be offered)
- Collective transport from airport to Nanyuki Sweetwater Serena Camp at 10:30am (about 5 hour drive)
- Sundowner at Sweetwater Serena Camp
- Transport and Accommodation at 5 star Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Hotel, Nanyuki (breakfast included)

Monday, 08.04.19

- 9:30 am Bus Transport to Tambuzi
- Meet the team and stop and smell the roses
- Learn about how Tambuzi roses are grown and picked at different altitudes
- Lunch
- Visit the greenhouse
- Tea & Roses - Afternoon tea at Maggie & Tim Hobbs' garden (owners of Tambuzi farm)
- Return Transport to Fairmont by Bus
- 8:00 pm Official Welcome Dinner including African BBQ and welcome drink

Tuesday, 09.04.19

- Breakfast at Fairmont
- 9:00am Bus Transport to Tambuzi
- Workshop with Ercole Moroni on techniques of flower bouquets with Tambuzi flowers- all material provided (you must only bring your own clippers and knife)
- Lunch

Wednesday, 10.04.19

- Breakfast at Fairmont
- 9:00am Bus Transport to Tambuzi
- Workshop with Ercole Moroni on techniques of table arrangements and setting up dinner table in the Tambuzi rose fields - all material provided (you must only bring your own scissors and knife)
- Lunch
- Coffee Break
- Gala dinner in the rose fields - dress code semi-formal but flat shoes recommended
- Transport to Fairmont

- Who can participate?

Anyone, who is in love with scented garden roses and wants to be a rose explorer in Kenya - no experience required.

- Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No - but please make sure you check out all requirements for visiting Kenya regarding vaccination and visa etc.

- What are my transportation options for getting to and from the event?

Transportation for 5 day event provided from the airport in Nairobi to Nanyuki, from the hotel to/from Tambuzi and back to Nairobi by bus.
Flight and accommodation package to Nanyuki on request.

- What must I bring into the event?

Own clippers and knifes - all material for the workshop and flowers are provided.
