QUEEN BEES & MASTERMINDS: Navigating Friendships, Social Conflicts & Popularity

Rosalind Wiseman pulls back the curtain on what's really going on in boys` and girls` friendships and social hierarchies. She'll share how group dynamics influence interactions and offer step-by-step advice on how to teach young people how to navigate common yet complex situations. She’ll explain why our youth can be reluctant to ask for help and give common-sense suggestions to break through communication barriers.

Rosalind Wiseman is a teacher, author and media spokesperson on bullying, ethical leadership, and the use of social media, on a mission to help communities shift the way we think about children and teens’ emotional and physical wellbeing,

She is the national bestselling author of “Masterminds & Wingmen” and “Queen Bees Wannabes”, the basis for the movie “Mean Girls”. She also wrote the “Owning Up Curriculum: empowering adolescents to confront social cruelty, bullying and injustice”.

This talk is for parents of grades K-12.

Free for PTSA Members in the Issaquah School District, $10 donation requested of non-members.
