Event description

Description

Join us for our first BIG screening (yup!) of Nile Stories A documentary film share the day to day struggles of grassroots community organisation in Sudan.
A film on the tremendous dedication stories of local volunteers in helping NGO's who struggle with resources and equipment, yet continue in delivering great work to help the needy and less vulnerable in the society. A documentary which shares the great impact young volunteers can contribute.
Our team were divided into several locations and cities around Sudan, in delivering this engaging film for you.
Through this film, we have also been focusing on the development of young Australians in documentary filmmaking and storytelling.

It has been nearly 6 months in the making we began working on Nile Stories A passion project, which now we plan to take to theatres, film festivals, screen it for policymakers, then at universities, schools, communities and many many interest groups around the world.
You will also see a glimpse of this vast and diverse nation of Sudan, from culture to food.as we visit great locations from the pyramids to Port Sudan, and even we filmed a Sudanese wedding!!!

And so, you get to watch it now! So join us, be part of our effort in hastening a sustainable sensible way of living on this planet.
We would like to thank Belinda from Human business 101 and UWA multicultural student union for supporting this event.

Part of this film proceed will go to one of the organisations we have selected to support.
