With Teachers Kenny Graham & Hannah Muse:

Kenny Graham

Drawing on his 23 years of study and experience, Kenny Graham teaches yoga in a way that is accessible, intelligent and inspiring. He teaches in a form/flow hatha yoga that blends music with movement (because everything is better with music!). His teaching helps free the mind, lighten the heart and increase body awareness. In turn, this creates greater strength and flexibility. His vision is to support others’ practice so that it becomes sustainable for years to come. He honors the fact that each body is unique, and understands the overarching template of moving anatomy. This understanding allows him to recognize the potential inherent in each practitioner.

Kenny teaches with a focus on anatomical alignment in movement to counter modern-day imbalances, which helps restore the body to its natural fluidity and balance. Through the functional applications of postures (asana), he helps students to discover their own unique anatomical alignment.

He has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and has always been keenly interested in cultivating a deeper awareness of the mind-body connection. He is a strong proponent of meditation and has witnessed first-hand its power to transform one’s own life. Yoga as meditation was his first introduction to yoga and later he supplemented this with physical practice to support his lifestyle.

Kenny continues to study and learn from yoga teachers in many different traditions and practitioners of various modalities including chiropractic, body work, anatomy, philosophy, Pilates, physical fitness, martial arts, acupuncture, nutrition and medicine. He is registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest level (E- RYT®500). He teaches in Santa Cruz CA and leads teacher trainings, workshops, retreats and festivals in the Bay Area and worldwide.

No Mat Nomads is created as a vehicle to show that yoga can take place not just on the mat, but wherever we find ourselves. The No Mat Nomads journey is towards liberation, creativity and the outer expression of inner truth.

Hannah Muse

Hannah Muse is known for her profound devotion to WAKING UP to the beauty of this life, her nurturing teachings that weave ancient wisdom + ritual into dynamic playful movement, that sweet Bhakta voice that stirs deep in your soul whenever mantras meet her lips, and the infectious bliss that she radiates wherever she roams.

Ever since yoga found her, Hannah’s heart has been bursting open and spilling over with love. She feels so blessed to live the life of a yogini and is honored to share it with you. Her classes are more than just a series of physical poses: although you may sweat, her teachings encompass pranayama, meditation, mudra, philosophy and her asana instruction combines therapeutic physical alignment with dynamic pranic flows that will nourish, strengthen and align both your physical body and your subtle energy body. Myth, mantra & ritual accompany her alignment-based classes where she integrates the Yin & Yang, Divine Feminine & Divine Masculine, Dynamic Vinyasa, Mindfulness-based Hatha + Deep Restorative aspects into the practice - yoga accessible to ALL beings.

Hannah is a devotee of this Great Mother Earth and has led many environmental efforts on her behalf. She is eternally grateful to the teachers who have blessed her with wisdom along this path, including Baba Hari Dass whose teachings have inspired her daily sadhana for several years, Kamalesh Hooven, Sianna Sherman, Jane Austin, and many others. Most of all, her practice is inspired by the beauty of every breath, the grace of embodiment, and the unconditional love of her family.

With her home base grounded in the mystical setting of redwoods+ocean in Santa Cruz, California, her gypsy soul travels the world sharing the sacred gifts of yoga that saved her life and awaken her heart each day. She is the co-creator and teacher of the ROOTS of YOGA 200 and 500-hour teacher training alongside Kenny Graham. She also directs and leads the faculty of Mount Madonna Center’s Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training. She leads retreats in Mexico, India, Guatemala, Bali and beyond, and has taught at global gatherings and festivals including Bhakti Fest, Shakti Fresh, Electric Forest, Symbiosis, Red Rocks and more.

Hannah does not believe that yoga "fixes" us or fills up something missing; instead she knows with all of her heart that we are already whole divine beings just needing a little (or BIG) reminder – and yoga is the best reminder she has ever found.

About the Location

Santa Cruz Veteran's Hall

Five minutes from the highway, the Santa Cruz Veteran’s Hall is conveniently located in lively downtown Santa Cruz, right across the street from local favorite Verve Coffee (plenty of coffee, tea, and healthy snack options during break), nearby many fantastic restaurants for lunch, and a lot of parking options. The Veteran’s Hall is beautiful, spacious, and sun-lit. Traveling from out of town? There are many lovely lodging options within walking distance.

“What are the requirements for registering for this course? Yoga is changing my life but I am still relatively new to the practice?”

The requirements are: the desire to deepen your practice & knowledge of yoga, 12 months minimum practicing yoga, and an open heart.

"What if I already have completed a YTT-200 hour? Is it beneficial to take more training?"

Regardless of whether you have already completed a 200-hour training (or any other level), this training will be different than any other and we believe you will receive tremendous benefit from it. Hannah and Kenny have completed literally thousands of hours of trainings and intensives, and continue to grow as life-long students of yoga. Every training has a different emphasis, a different curriculum - what is most important is that you value studentship and resonate with the teachers.

“I am working with an injury, a special issue, etc. Can I still come?”

Yes – and you will be in good hands! Kenny and Hannah both work extensively with students on a therapeutic level. In addition to therapeutic asana, know that this training is much more than just the physical aspects of yoga. Breath, mind and spirit will be explored equally to the physical body.

“I will be traveling from out of town for the training weekends. Can you recommend accommodations? Which airport do I fly into?“

Yes! Not only will we send you a list of hotels, lodges + Air b&b's here in our beautiful ocean-side community, but we also can connect you with other students in the training for possible home-stays. As for airports, you can fly into SJC, MRY, SFO or OAK (although SJC is slightly closer than the rest). Just let us know upon registration and we will send you our recommended accommodation list.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.
