Description

What does it mean to taste a time or a place?

This Feast will transport you back through Santa Cruz County's history as we discover a time when the apple was king, Pismo clams thrived, and strawberries were rare.

Based on the Santa Cruz MAH's newest publication, Harvesting our Heritage, this feast will explore what it means to have a deeper place-based understanding by offering local history and local foods to your palate.

Please join us on Friday, October 13th or Saturday the 14th on Memory Lane (yes, literally) for a unique dining experience among the vines at Big Basin Vineyard.

The Curated Feast is proud to be partnering with Big Basin Vineyards on this Feast, where we will explore these stories. This six-course meal will be prepared by creative powerhouse Dare Arowe of The Kitchen at Discretion, who along with Liz Birnbaum of The Curated Feast was featured as one of Santa Cruz's Six Culinary Masterminds earlier this year. Special thanks to our pantry sponsor, Whole Foods Santa Cruz.

Wine pairing is included in the ticket cost. Full menu forthcoming, but please note that clams will be featured in one of the courses. If you have special dietary needs, please email thecuratedfeast@gmail.com before purchasing your ticket.

NOTE: The Feast on Friday the 13th will include a special twist, given the history of the Thirteen Club. Come prepared to explore luck itself if you choose to attend that Feast evening.
