Tasty, but often overlooked, root vegetables are versatile and fun to cook with. From beets to rutabagas we will explore how to use root vegetables in all kinds of fun ways. Recipes will include roasted beets, parsnip cake, carrot pasta sauce and a whole lot more. Lots to sample in class and recipes for home.
This is an interactive class. So, for those who want to work in the kitchen, you may. If not, no problem.
Parking is FREE around the building.

Judi Strauss of The Charmed Kitchen is the instructor:
Judi Strauss teaches cooking and gardening in the greater Cleveland area and beyond. She started her career working in the horticulture department of the OSU Extension Service. She also has written numerous cookbooks including “The Charmed Kitchen” for which this site is named. She has a line of salt-free seasoning mixes available locally and on-line. The Charmed Kitchen is a place to come and learn about cooking and gardening. A place to share ideas and get answers. It is also a way to find out where Judi will be teaching and how to schedule her for your event or organization.
