"Roochie Toochie and the Ragtime Shepherd Kings" are an all-star old time novelty jazz & pop quintet with a unique take on some of Tin Pan Alley’s most minor hits.

“The Roochies” share a love of antiquated pop tunes, and made their first album completely on wax cylinder (used before spinning discs became popular). The group mines the zaniest and most obscure songs from the early 20th century and records them for a new audience to underscore both the absurdity and importance of popular music in American history.

This group won First Prize for Best Neo-Traditional Band at Clifftop Appalachian String Band Festival, and has toured extensively throughout the country with their unparalleled musical talent and world-class goofy stunts. Concertgoers both young and old are guaranteed to enjoy the show.
