Our headliner speaker for this year's event is U.S. Senator Ted Cruz from Texas, who we are honoring with our Reagan Courage Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award goes to former Texas Governor Rick Perry and the Rising Star Award goes to Texas Senator Donna Campbell.

The Bullock Texas State History Museum venue has a free onsite garage parking underground for 400 vehicles, or you are welcome to find other parking arrangements. Dress attire is formal. It's time to glam up real pretty for an incredible night on the town in a very special venue!

The VIP reception will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. upstairs in the Atrium for VIP ticket holders only. These guests have access to an open bar as well as a photo opportunity with our headliner speakers to take home a photo. The silent auction will be downstairs opening at 6 p.m. for bids. It's located just past the rotunda and has many items so bring your checkbook or credit card! The general admittance ticket holder will be allowed entrance at 6 p.m. on the first floor only in the Rotunda with the dinner program beginning promptly at 7 p.m.

Ted Cruz was elected in 2013 to the United States Senate and before that (2003-2008) was the Solicitor General of Texas where he represented the state of Texas before the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts, advocating for conservative legal positions on various issues. He's well known for many conservative policies and limiting government, such as: Co-sponsoring and helping pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017, which resulted in significant tax cuts for individuals and businesses, including a reduction in the corporate tax rate; Co-sponsoring and helping pass the First Step Act in 2018, which aimed to reform the criminal justice system by reducing mandatory minimum sentences for certain non-violent offenses, expanding rehabilitative programs, and providing inmates with more opportunities for early release; Co-sponsoring and helping pass the Space Launch Competitiveness Act in 2015, which aimed to promote commercial space exploration and development by providing regulatory and legal frameworks for private space companies; Co-sponsoring and helping pass the Defend Trade Secrets Act in 2016, which aimed to protect intellectual property and trade secrets by providing a federal civil remedy for trade secret theft, allowing businesses to sue for damages in federal court.; Co-sponsoring and helping pass the Terrorist Elimination Act in 2015, which aimed to revoke U.S. passports of individuals who have been identified as terrorists and pose a threat to national security; Co-sponsoring and helping pass the RESTORE Act in 2015, which aimed to repeal the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) and replace it with a more market-oriented approach to healthcare reform, including allowing for the purchase of health insurance across state lines and expanding the use of health savings accounts.
