Romantic Classics: Mendelssohn, Bruckner, Brahms (McLean, VA)
Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 4:00 PM (EDT)
The National Master Chorale is delighted to be a part of Saint Luke Catholic Church's Music in McLean series! Join us in McLean for the same rich program as our October 24 concert in Washington, DC, as we present a cappella and accompanied masterpieces of the Romantic era's greatest choral composers. The program will feature lush choral motets and part-songs by Rheinberger, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Bruckner, and Brahms, as well as a complete performance of Brahms’s spirited Zigeunerlieder.

The National Master Chorale is not affiliated with the National Chorale in New York City.
Founded in October 2009, the Washington Master Chorale is a semiprofessional chorus in Washington, D.C., that seeks to advance American choral excellence by combining professional artistry with the written word, and to contribute new American works to the choral canon by facilitating the creation of new high-caliber choral works. The Chorale holds itself to the highest standards of music-making by combining the efforts of professional singers with those of rigorously selected volunteers.
