Event description

Description

An unmissable event showing how to plot your romance novel so it works for 21st century readers

Both new and returning attendees will benefit from the writing skills Valerie shares. With enjoyable exercises and discussion, you're guided through a plotting template to create up-to-date stories that flow. By day’s end you’ll have a two-page outline of your novel, useful as a selling document, cover blurb and guide when you sit down to write.

In this fresh look at plotting your romance novel, you'll explore:

  • A powerful approach to plot development that ensures you cover all the bases no matter which romance subgenre you choose;

  • How to answer the "why" questions that make your characters live on the page; and

  • Managing romantic tension, pace and flow from first meeting to satisfactory ending

Bring along your open mind, story ideas and screen or scribble pad. There's no pressure and the writing is fun, promise.
