Webinar Description:
A smart maintenance strategy includes a plan for the seasons.  This session will go in depth on the mechanical stresses of the changing seasons and their relationship to breakdowns.  We will also provide data on types of breakdowns and when they are most likely to occur.  Through oversight and management of hundreds of thousands of repairs, we are pleased to help pass on lessons learned and knowledge to keep your trucks rolling.

Speaker Bios

Karen ImageKaren Piccolomini joined TravelCenters of America in 1999 and brings 15 years of experience to the trucking industry.  Her primary role for TA today is management of the company’s road side assistance program, RoadSquad, as well as their 24/7 maintenance management solutions business, RoadSquad Connect.  Prior to launching RoadSquad Connect in 2012 and the RoadSquad brand in 2004, Karen was responsible for TA’s valued partnership with Daimler Corporation and oversight of ServicePoint, the warranty repair program for Freightliner tractors.  Karen’s background includes a career at British Petroleum both in their Crude Oil Transportation division and, prior to that, as part of their Crisis Management Team.


Jerry ImageJerry Bodkins is a veteran of the U S Army.  He graduated at the top of his class from TDDS Diesel Technology School in 2000. Jerry is an ASE advanced level master certified technician and is also qualified as an instructor with TIA (Tire Industry Association) and MACS Worldwide. In 2007 and 2010 Jerry won stations at the annual TMC Supertech competition and after being promoted from technician to technical trainer in 2010 moved to the other side of the competition. From 2011 to the present Jerry has been the Chairman of the HVAC station at the annual TMC Supertech competition. In 2012 Jerry moved from the training department to the corporate office where he developed and now runs the companies Technical Support Center which provides information and technical guidance to the company’s 2500 plus site level diesel  technicians.
