Target Trainees: care workers, nurses, social workers, social care officers, NHS ward and community staff, Police Officers, Council residential and community staff, psychiatric services, voluntary and private sector and residential and daycare

Participants will be staff of any agency providing services for any adults in need, their carers or families.Participants will be staff from any agency who need basic adult protection training that builds on any e-learning or other brief training.

Participants MUST be able to access the meeting via Microsoft Teams and have a good internet signal!

 Aims and objectives:

  • To provide a basic guide to the adult protection act and the legal responsibilities of key agencies
  • To explore with others, their role and responsibilities in relation to the support and protection of adults
  • To develop an understanding of the legislative framework for the support and protection of adults
  • To consider what is harmful to adults and how adults in need of  support and protection can be identified
  • To consider how to respond to concerns about an adult at risk of harm
  • To develop knowledge of what facilitates good interagency working with adults, their carers and their families
