Description

Join us for an interactive training about the myths, realities, and best practices of a well-functioning nonprofit board of directors. The board of directors is the backbone of all nonprofits and as a board member you play a vital role in assisting the nonprofit in achieving its mission. Through this training you will become well prepared for board service by understanding key board responsibilities including: financial oversight, legal, fundraising, and much more. Learn the questions to ask and factors to consider when seeking a board as well as what to expect at a board meeting.

Whether you have just joined a board or getting ready to start board service, this training provides essential information to make your board service effective and rewarding.

Doors open at 5:30pm for networking and refreshments. Our program will begin promptly at 6pm.

Location: Check in at the main Security Desk in the main lobby, and be prepared to show I.D. You'll take the elevator to the 6th floor and the Downtown Partnership office will be on the right.

Parking: Street parking is available after 5:30pm, but there are mutiple garages in close proximity.
