Day 1: Monday - Nov 6, 2017

Depart for Dubai, United Arab Emirates from JFK.

Day 2: Tuesday - Nov 7, 2017

Arrive in Dubai (Dubai is 8 hours ahead of US Eastern time zone), the land of quintessential opulence, wealth and astonishing skyscrapers. Check into hotel. Remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Note: Hotel has shuttle service to the nearby Dubai Mall.

Day 3: Wednesday - Nov 8, 2017

Spend a fabulous day discovering one of the world’s most futuristic cities with its dramatic skyline. Begin at Dubai Creek, cutting through the heart of the city and winding its way from the trading port of the Gulf to the Ras al Khor bird sanctuary on the desert edge of the city. As we continue our drive, we’ll see the Jumeirah Mosque with its unique architecture and the Dubai Marina. We’ll make a quick stop at the man-made Palm Island, the artificial archipelago in the Persian Gulf. Drive past the Dubai’s signature landmark, Burj Al Arab, the celebrated sail shaped hotel on our way to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The panoramic views are amazing! Next stop is the Atlantis at Palm Hotel where you’ll be surrounded by astonishing aquarium inhabited by thousands of marine species from around the world. On to the Dubai Museum which is housed in the Al Fahidi Fort, the Dubai World Trade Center, and a visit to the bustling alleys of traditional spice and gold souks before heading back to the hotel where a welcome dinner awaits you with your fellow travelers and Tour Manager.

Day 4: Thursday - Nov 9, 2017

Leisure morning to revisit any of the sites seen on yesterday or perhaps you’ll want to visit the Dubai Mall. During the afternoon, you have the opportunity to do a Desert Safari. Board a 4x4 vehicle and head out towards the highest sand dunes of the surreal surrounding desert. Feel the thrill of “dune bashing” as you spiral up and down the enormous golden sand dunes. Stop to watch the beautiful sunset before reaching the Bedouin campsite. You will be welcomed with traditional Arabic coffee and might have the opportunity to ride a camel. Then, enjoy a barbecue dinner, specifically prepared on an open fire. Later, a captivating belly dancer enchants you with her swirling dances under the starlit sky before returning to the hotel.

Note: Desert Safari tour is included; however a waiver must be signed.

Day 5: Friday - Nov 10, 2017

Today we will travel to Al Ain, the Garden City of the UAE and one of the oldest settlements. A green city with an incredible number of public parks, it is also the birthplace of H.H. Sheikh Zayed, the former President of the UAE. Visit Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum, the residence of Sheikh Zayed and his family between 1937 and 1966. The tour also includes visits to the most important museum in the UAE, Al Ain National Museum which houses artifacts of ancient times that have been discovered in and around the city including ancient Arabic manuscripts and royal treasures. See a traditional camel market and go to the Hili Archaeologicial Gardens, the excavation site of the Bronze Age settlement that dates back to the 3000 B.C.

Day 6: Saturday - Nov 11, 2017

Enjoy the morning at your leisure and depart for Abu Dhabi in the afternoon and arrive in time for dinner with your fellow travelers.

Day 7: Sunday - Nov 12, 2017

Start off the day with a city tour of the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, also known as the Arabian Jewel. Drive past Jebel Aki, the largest man-made port in the world before arriving at the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, iconic symbol of Abu Dhabi. Continue along the city’s glamorous Corniche, with blue waters glittering on one side and shimmering skyscrapers lining the other. At the Breakwater, pause to take photos of the city’s fabulous skyline and then on to Heritage Village, a reconstructed traditional desert village. Here, journey to the past and experience life in the Abu Dhabi before oil revenues altered the landscape. Many different aspects of desert life are attractively displayed in the open-air museum along with workshops where craftsmen demonstrate traditional skills, while women sit weaving and spinning. Afterwards, stop at the Zayed House for a fascinating sneak peek into the life of the late Sheikh Zayed, Father of the Nation. Have lunch on your own. Enjoy your final night in Abu Dhabi at your leisure to explore the city or take a seaside stroll along the beautiful Corniche.
