Celebrate Earth Day by participating in the Rodeo Spring Community Clean Up on Earth Day.

About this Event

Join your neighbors, businesses and community organizations as we spruce up and clean up our community of Rodeo .

What is provided: Phillips 66 is donating to all registered volunteers a reusable water bottle, face mask, safety glasses, gloves, hand sanitizer, garbage bags that will be given in a beautiful canvas bag provided by Contra Costa Resource Conservation District.

What You'll Need: Wear Covered shoes, clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, and any additional supplies you may need such as a bucket, poking stick or trash grabber.

1:00 pm - Meet your Team Lead at your Check-In station, a detailed email will be sent.

1:15 pm - Safety Briefing with Team Leads, leave to clean up sites

3:45 pm - Start heading back to your check-in station and bring all garbage bags with you.

4:00 pm - End of Clean Up.

VOLUNTEER WAIVER FORM

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! THIS DOCUMENT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS!

RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By registering for this event, I do hereby agree that I will indemnify and hold harmless Phillips 66, its subsidiaries and affiliates, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, directors, officers, employees, and the heirs, personal representatives, from any and all liability or claims of injury of whatsoever nature which may be incurred by me as a result of my voluntary participation in the Rodeo Spring Community Clean-Up project event presented by Phillips 66 on Thursday, April 22, 2021.

In addition, I also release and waive liability for the Rodeo Spring Community Clean-Up project partners and sponsors.

Volunteer does hereby freely, voluntarily, and without duress, give this Release under the following terms:

1. Waiver and Release. Volunteer does hereby release and forever discharge and hold harmless each of the Phillips 66 Parties from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from Volunteer’s activities with respect to the Project and does covenant not to sue any of the Phillips 66 Parties with respect to such matters.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Volunteer understands and agrees that this Release discharges each of the Phillips 66 Parties from any liability or claim that Volunteer may have against any of them with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from Volunteer’s activities with respect to the Project, whether caused by the negligence of a Phillips 66 Party or otherwise. Volunteer also understands and agrees that Phillips 66 does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide financial assistance or any other assistance in the event of injury or illness.

2. Medical Treatment. Volunteer does hereby release and forever discharge the Phillips 66 Parties from any claim whatsoever which arises on account of any first aid, treatment or service rendered in connection with the Volunteer’s work on the Project.

3. Assumption of the Risk. Volunteer understands that the work on the Project may include activities that may be hazardous to the Volunteer, including, but not limited to, sweeping, trash removal, use of tools and equipment, and transportation to and from volunteer sites. Volunteer hereby expressly and specifically assumes the risk of injury or harm in these activities, whether caused by the negligence of a Phillips 66 Party or otherwise.

4. Insurance. Volunteer understands that Phillips 66 does not carry or maintain health, medical, or disability insurance coverage for any Volunteer.

Each Volunteer is strongly encouraged to have adequate medical or health insurance coverage in effect.

5. Media/Photographic Release. Volunteer does hereby grant and convey unto Phillips 66 and our project / workday sponsors and partners all rights, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by Phillips 66 during the Volunteer’s activities with respect to the Project, including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.

6. Other. Volunteer expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as, but only as, broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of California. Volunteer agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this Release shall be held to be invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release, all of which shall continue to be enforceable.

I certify that either I am eighteen (18) years of age or older, or that my parent or court-appointed guardian has full knowledge of my participation in this event and has given me permission to participate, as evidenced by his/her signature below.

By participating in this event, I understand that I will social distance (2 meters or 6 feet apart) and wear a mask or face covering at all times.*
