Rocky Mountain Makerspace Summit

Join us for the 2017 Rocky Mountain Makerspace Summit July 14-16 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At this annual conference new and seasoned leaders share best practices, learn from talented presenters, enjoyed mutual war stories, tour the highly successful makerspaces in Library 21c and Pikes Peak Makerspace, and attend a workshop at a Maker business.
On Friday, July 14th, Maker Cities Summit. How do makerspaces stimulate economic development? How can civic leaders strengthen the maker ecosystem including the ties between Creative and Small Business Districts with Makerspaces? Colorado Makerspaces are bringing new programs into rural and urban spaces, including workforce training tied to manufacturing and a pipeline into community colleges. We are excited to have Bernie Lynch, Executive of Made Right Here joining us from Pittsburgh to talk about the workforce training and certification program they've created with a grant from the Department of Labor. We are working with Made Right Here and Colorado leaders to bring this program to Colorado spaces.
Friday evening we will have a happy hour and Art Walk.
Saturday and Sunday is a gathering of the global makerspace community to discuss topics such as RFID tracking, makerspace IoT, an ambassador program between makerspaces, membership practices and more. While the highlight of the weekend will be the time spent learning from each other, we will also be pleased to have special presentations including keynote speakers in innovation and making.

Tickets are - $30 for nonprofit, educator, and makerspace community members
$65 for organizations: businesses and government representatives
$25 Friday contribution for ArtWalk and Happy Hour
