Rocky Mount, Virginia: SHRP2 TIM Training - March 4, 2017, 8:00 am to 12:00...
Virginia’s Dept. of Transportation, Dept. of Fire Programs and the State Police are pleased to announce no cost delivery of SHRP2 Traffic Incident Management Training.
Because of high traffic volumes, public service personnel are always reminded to seek Safe, Quick Clearance of the traffic incident scene. This training informs attendees of procedures for clearing the incident scene with well coordinated, multi-discipline teams of first responders and transportation personnel. Safe, Quick Clearance helps reduce the risk of injury to those on-scene, reduce the risk of secondary crashes, and reduce delays due to congestion.
The training is open to ALL Law Enforcement, Fire, Rescue, EMS, Public Works, Transportation (state and municipal), Towing and Recovery, and Communications Personnel. The training will last for 4 hours: Attendees will be able to earn in-service hours through DCJS, OEMS, or VDFP. As this is a multi-discipline joint training session, space is limited to a select number per expertise.
In the event you have no personnel who can attend, there will be additional training sessions conducted. Dates, times, and locations will be provided at a future date.
If you know anyone who might benefit from this training, please pass on the invitation.
