Come learn about the Rockville solar co-op. Neighbors in and around Rockville are coming together to use their collective buying power to get a discount on going solar. Based on the same principle as buying in bulk, the co-op will go through the process of purchasing solar systems together. The group will select a contractor to install systems on all of the homes, but each participant owns his or her system and will sign their own contract with the chosen installer. This information session will explain the basics of solar technology and finance, the solar co-op process and the economics of solar in Maryland.
