Way down in the Lone Star state of Texas along the Mexican border, on the southern tip of Texas where one might envision the sun beaming down on crusty parched ground, where the dust flies from an old beat up pickup truck barreling down a bumpy dirt road with a couple of good ole boys in cowboy hats and boots listening to George Strait blaring on the radio, where the terrain is dotted with green prickly cactus and horned toads scamper aimlessly across the heated surface and where the only escape from the blistering sun is a thorny mesquite tree next to an all but dried up muddy cattle tank. Welcome to the home of the rock and roll band, “Sidewinder of Texas” (SoTx)! Sidewinder of Texas features Raul Garcia – vocals, David Valdez - guitar & vocals, Rey Ybarra - bass & vocals, and Paul Pederson - drums & vocals. Influenced by music and artists over a broad era from the 60's through the 90's, Sidewinder of Texas’ sound and style evolved into a unique distinctive original blend of what they passionately refer to as “Texas style Rock and Roll”. Their songs and lyrics cover the gamut ranging from love gone bad to the current social and political state of the nation. So, lean back, sit back, or climb into whatever you're driving and give us a listen and crank it up!
Searching for an energetic, vibrant, and fresh take on rock music? Enter Fulcrum Lake. “One of the best new bands in Texas,” says 99.5 KISS DJ Randy Bonillas who features Fulcrum Lake’s track ‘Overrated’ on his Texas Traxx show in San Antonio.
Started by lead singer, lyricist and rhythm guitarist Daniel Murata and drummer, brother Michael Murata in 2009. Fulcrum Lake received a jolt of energy by adding lead guitarist Brandon “BZ” Zielinski, and bassist Steve Giro to the band. The foursome has since collaborated for an explosion of new sounds as these guys can truly write, sing, and rock! Murata’s voice is both melodic and aggressive with lyrics that have been described as 'spiritual' and 'mysterious'. In a world of manufactured sounds and music loops, Fulcrum Lake is a breath of fresh air – an actual what you hear is what you get kind of rock band. “What rock used to sound like before it died,” according to San Antonio 103.3 The App DJ Mighty Iris. Their on stage presence and showmanship is as good as their recorded sound. Despite the quartet’s musical talent, Fulcrum Lake has managed to check egos and not overwhelm the audience. Instruments and vocals often back off to create that signature FL dynamic and give the listener an opportunity to take in the extraordinary sound. Fulcrum Lake performs live at venues in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Beaumont and other Texas towns.
Fulcrum Lake recently released Catalyst, their third self-produced EP and first for the current band members. Catalyst is available on iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify, Google Play, Beats Music and over 90+ online stor
