Jeremiah Owyang of Crowd Companies, Chief Catalyst, Founder
Jeremiah Owyang is the Chief Catalyst and Founder of Crowd Companies, which focuses on how large companies tap the collaborative economy, maker movement, and customer collaboration. Prior, he was an industry analyst and Partner of Customer Strategy at Altimeter Group, an industry analyst firm based in Silicon Valley. He focuses on how disruptive Web technologies—such as social media, the collaborative economy, and interactive marketing—impact the relevance of corporations to customers today and in the future. He is well recognized by both the tech industry and the media for his grounded approach to deriving astute insights through rigorous research. Previously, Jeremiah worked at Forrester and at Hitachi, where he launched the company’s first social program. He was featured in the 2009 “Who’s Who” in the Silicon Valley Business Journal, and his Twitter feed was named one of the top feeds by Time in 2011.
Michelle Regner of Near Me, CEO and Co-Founder
Michelle is the CEO and co-founder of Near-Me.com, a customizable marketplace powering Global Brands and Entrepreneurs with all they need to join the sharing economy. Its flagship product, DesksNear.Me, is a website connecting mobile workers to available desk spaces all over the world. Michelle is passionate and heavily involved in the sharing economy -- listing her car on GetAround, ordering food from Munchery, riding around town using bike share and hiring services from Virtual and TaskRabbit. Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Michelle graduated from Notre Dame de Namur with a degree in Business and Finance. Soon after, she worked as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley. Eventually her entrepreneurial side could not be contained and she successfully launched her first company called Innercircuit, a Software-as-a-Service company which quickly grew into a national payment and communications hub for residential property managers and renters.
Stephane Kasriel of oDesk, VP of Product and Engineering
Stephane is the VP of Product and Engineering at oDesk, a leading online workplace and Talent-as-a-Service provider. In this role, Stephane is responsible for the development and execution of the product roadmap. Stephane brings to oDesk more than 12 years of high-tech product and general management experience, including defining and leading PayPal’s consumer strategy. Stephane holds a Master’s from Stanford in Computer Science and an MBA from INSEAD.
Brian Bell of Zuora,Inc., Chief Marketing Officer
Prior to joining Zuora, Bell was General Manager of the Service and Portfolio Management business unit at CA Technologies. During this time, Bell led the effort to transition CA from a traditional product sales and licensing to a recurring revenue business model. Before joining CA, Bell was VP of Solutions Marketing at BMC Software. Earlier, Bell led worldwide marketing at Remedy, where he was responsible for building a marketing organization that helped to establish Remedy as the market leading IT Service Management solution, which was acquired by BMC in 2002. Bell received his MBA with Distinction from INSEAD, where he was part of the team that was named The Winner of the European Business Plan of the Year. He also holds an MA with a concentration in International Economics and Japanese from John Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and a BA from The University of Pennsylvania.
