Description

Singer and songwriting master Marshall Crenshaw has roots in classic soul music, British Invasion songcraft. He is perhaps best known for his Top 40 classic “Someday, Someway”, but is also a noted guitarist who uses off beat chord progressions and concise solos.

Crenshaw will be backed by roots rockers the Bottle Rockets, who will also open the evening with a set of their own.

Proceeds from this rocking night will fund a new FHSR program: Music To My Ears Scholarship Fund the Music to My Ears Scholarship Fund celebrating FHSR’s 60th Anniversary & the joy of music for children with hearing loss.

Music To My Ears Scholarship Fund
The MTME Scholarship will provide one year of tuition-free early childhood music classes to children (up to 4 years of age) who are deaf/hard of hearing and living in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Research has shown the bene ts to children of being exposed to music in early childhood. ese are increased for a child with hearing loss. From language acquisition to sentence structure, in ection and tone, exposure to music provides indelible positive lifelong bene ts. e FHSR is proud to foster the love of music in deaf/hard of hearing children’s lives with our partners:
