About Rock the Core Cider Fest

A celebration of cider, beer, and great tunes, Rock the Core transports the orchard to your mug with more than 50+ ciders and craft beers offered on site. Sip on a Granny Smith, swig a sweet Golden Russet and discover untapped apple flavors while savoring local eats and live entertainment. This year's Rock the Core is taking place alongside the Taste of DC, the Mid-Atlantic's largest culinary festival and Rock the Core attendees are automatically registered with free admission!

Two (2) Sessions to Choose From

• Saturday, October 27th - 1-4pm
• Saturday, October 27th - 6-9pm

We'll be announcing participating cideries, breweries, and food trucks in the coming months via Facebook - be sure to follow us!

Rock the Core is a cashless event! Your purchase for Rock the Core will come with a red RFID TasteBand that you will pick up onsite and wear the day of the event. This TasteBand also grants you free registration an entry into Taste of DC. Simply load your band with Taste of DC TasteTokens to purchase food and drink from Taste of DC vendors. Below are some frequently asked questions

Are there age or ID requirements to enter the event? Can children accompany a parent?
All attendees must be over 21 to attend. Children will not be permitted in the event. You need to provide a valid government issued photo ID card verifying your age to receive admittance into the event.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Our recommendation is to take the Green Line to Navy Yard Metro Station.The event is across the street from Audi Field, the new home of D.C. United. If you would like to drive there is limited street parking throughout the neighborhood.

What are tastebands and how do they work?

Both Rock the Core and Taste of DC are cashless this year! You will need a red TasteBand for entry intro Rock the Core and to purchase food and beverage from Taste of DC! RFID technology makes it easier and faster for attendees to enter Taste of DC and purchase food and drinks—with just the touch of a wristband! Instead of using cash or credit cards, you will pay for your food and drinks by activating your “TasteBand” and loading additional “Taste Tokens” onto your TasteBand online at select TasteBand stations located throughout the festival.You do not need Taste Tokens to redeem your unlimited options at Rock the Core.

Where do I pick up my tasteband?

Guests will be able to pick-up TasteBand wristbands at the door. Make sure you have downloaded your ticket with barcode BEFORE you arrive and bring a valid photo ID.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Outside food and drinks will no be premitted.

Are dogs or other pets allowed?
Dogs are not permitted into the venue. Service animals are always welcome.

Can I bring my baby/toddler/child?
Rock the Core Cider Fest is a 21+ event. For their safety, children are not permitted into the venue.

Can I bring my backpack to Rock the Core?
Only if it is a clear and no bigger than 12”x6”x12”, in accordance with Audi Field’s clear bag policy. Paid bag check options will be available both in the stadium and at Field House DC, located adjacent to Audi Field.

What is your entry/exit policy?
The event has a no re-entry policy. Please make sure to bring everything you need with you into the event.

What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is permitted at the event.

What is the refund policy?
All sales are final. There will be no refunds issued for the event.
