Northwestern University's Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center is part of a consortium of four medical institutions that will make up the branches of the national Melanoma Tissue Bank. The other institutions include the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, California Pacific Medical Center and Oregon Health and Science University’s Knight Cancer Center. Together, they will provide a critical tool, fresh frozen tumor tissue, that will kickstart advancements in melanoma research and treatments.
