Have you always wanted to learn more about robots, but can’t find where to start? Then join the Robotics = Code+Creativity program at the American Center Ho Chi Minh City.

What will I learn? Each weekly session features a coding activity paired with a creative activity to introduce you to how a robot works, how to control it, and some of the many things you can do with a robot. There will be a final project where you will work together in small teams to produce your own robot activity. The course will be instructed in both English and Vietnamese.

Who is this program for? Current students (ages 15-21) are eligible to apply for this club. The program is designed for absolute beginners with no experience in robotics or coding. If you already have some experience in robotics then you should apply to our intermediate program starting in 2021.

When? Beginner sessions take place every Wednesday, excluding U.S. and Vietnamese holidays. The course duration is from Wednesday, December 09, 2020 to Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Please see the timeline for more details.

You can apply for either the Robotics 1A: Beginner (1:00PM-3:00PM) or the Robotics 1B: Beginner (3:00PM-5:00PM). If accepted, you can’t change classes.

Where? Lab Room, the American Center HCMC, 8th floor, Diamond Plaza, 34 Le Duan Boulevard, Dist. 1.

Who teaches this program? The Robotics = Code+Creativity program is run by RMIT University Vietnam’s Centre of Digital Excellence (CODE). Find out more about CODE here.

What does it cost? There is no cost for attending the Robotics = Code+Creativity program. All tools, equipment and software are supplied by the American Center. Students are encouraged to bring in their own laptops.

Certificate of completion. A certificate of completion will be awarded to participants who attend all sessions in full. Attendance at all sessions is required. If you’re unable to attend all sessions on time then it is likely that your place will be withdrawn.
