Event description
ROBOTICON Tampa Bay is a K-12 STEAM education showcase and FIRST Robotics Competition off-season event drawing 4000 people annually!

About this Event

The mission of ROBOTICON is to provide participating youth with a high-quality, competitive event that provides opportunities for pre-season skill building, networking, and college and career readiness experience, as well as a fun and unique way for the general public to enjoy this amazing STEAM Powered Sport for the Mind.

Free and open to the public, ROBOTICON combines a full scale off season FIRST Robotics Competition event with FIRST LEGO League Jr., FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge practices, an Engineering Expo and Industry Showcase for students and guests, workshops, and more. This year's event is Star Wars themed and will feature a variety of space focused exhibits, activities and resources.

ROBOTICON Industry Showcase Challenge

This year, in partnership with Synapse, we’re hosting an Industry Showcase Exhibitor Challenge at ROBOTICON on October 12 & 13. The goal of the Industry Showcase is to get participating students as well as event guests, excited about the real world applications and career possibilities of the science, technology, engineering, manufacturing and related knowledge and skills students are exercising in the course of their competitive robotics seasons.

To that end, we challenge Industry Showcase exhibitors at ROBOTICON 2019 to make the most interesting, interactive and exciting exhibits they possibly can, to tell the story of why students might want to have a career or learn the skills necessary to be successful in their company. Exhibits will be judged by students, Synapse and FCDI board members. All proceeds from Industry Showcase help benefit FCDI programs like ROBOTICON and youth STEM education programs and are tax deductible as permitted by law.

1st Place Winner - ROBOTICON Industry Showcase Champion: The exhibit earning the most accolades from students, Synapse and FCDI will be awarded free booth space at the Synapse Summit, to be held at Amalie Arena February 11-12, a $1595 value.
