Come experience the amazing world of robots! From 2-4pm in the WET Science Center classroom, Museum of Flight staff will lead this free, hands-on “Robot Garage” workshop. No experience necessary. You’ll learn about the history of robotics along with the cutting edge robots currently being developed around the world. You’ll also design your own robot to complete a challenge. This workshop is for participants 4th grade and older. Space is limited in our classroom, so registration is needed to secure a spot.
Adults, you are more than welcome to sit at a table to actively participate in the workshop and build a robot. However, you can also choose to stand in the back to observe. You can also choose to be in the exhibit gallery (playing with a younger sibling for instance). Below, there are two different ticket types - one for sitting at a table to actively participate and one for standing in the back to observe. We have limited numbers for both options.
Robotics for Kids Day at the WET Science Center runs from 12-4pm. Local robotics clubs will be onsite with their robots and leading hands-on activities throughout the event. The Museum of Flight will lead drop-in style activities in the classroom from 12-2pm as well. No registration is required for participation in these activities, only the 2-4pm Robot Garage workshop in the classroom.
