Dive into the exciting world of game development in this two-week immersive summer camp! Whether you’re creating a tycoon, role-playing adventure, FPS/fighting game, or RPG/story-driven experience, you’ll discover the core skills that power them all.
In Week 1, you’ll master the fundamentals: programming in LUA and C+ in Roblox, 3D modeling, character creation, and animation. By the end of the week, you’ll have a solid foundation to build almost any type of game.
In Week 2, the focus shifts to refining and customizing your project. You’ll polish your game by learning advanced techniques, tackling topics like moderation, in-game sales, jobs, and advertising to make your creation truly unique.
This camp is perfect for aspiring game developers ready to turn their ideas into playable realities!
Registration will close one week prior to the start of the workshop to prep all materials. A detailed email will specifics will be emailed to each registered participant spelling out details for the workshop. Please check your email for details! Minimum age requirement is 8 years of age. Participants MUST have basic computer skills, such as using a mouse, moving around a website as well as being able to work independently while the instructor is helping other students. About the Fab Lab
The Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College is an open access digital fabrication studio and collaborative workshop. We provide access to information, tools, software and space for anyone who has an interest to learn and create. The Fab Lab provides open access to design software, laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, woodshop, sewing machines (3 types), CNC router and hand tools.
