Join Rob, Swany, and Roebling Books owner Richard Hunt for an intimate, explosive evening of music: every audience member is a VIP! BYOB!

About this event

* We’re all vaxxed and boosted and trust that you are, too. I can’t wear a mask while performing but please feel free to if you desire.

… it’s a one-of-a-kind evening of music where every audience member is a VIP. BYOB (snacks and books available, of course) and see me perform my life's work; together we'll make a happy ruckus in a lovely, airy, colorful room surrounded by great books. (Designed by lovely, talented Elizabeth Rogers).

I've been lucky and played lots of exciting gigs in cool places but house (er, bookstore) concerts have a magic vibe all their own. It gets (comfortably) loud – but there are sweet spots where you can hear a pin drop – with dynamics unattainable in a larger space. You'll see why Roebling is my favorite Cincinnati area bookstore.

I've thrown everything into a career-spanning show performing material I wrote for The Raisins, The Bears, psychodots, my solo albums, and will debut new songs I'm recording for my next record. If you’ve watched Fetters Is Cheap! on Youtube over the last couple years you’ll get the idea….

It's an overbuilt show: from stripped-down acoustic / vocal renditions to plenty of rocked-out electric ones backed with studio tracks custom-mixed from the source sessions, including cameos from notable musicians. I play my heart out to keep up with it all. My nifty Bose system is updated and in stereo: it sounds absolutely killer so you'll hear what I hear. My son Sam describes the concert as a "performance + guitar + recording workshop + storytelling hour". Except it runs 3 hours with a break midway so you can freshen your drinks ( BYOB! ) and grab a bite. We'll provide water, ice, cups, etc.

Only 33 seats are available for this event so please don't wait to grab a ticket. These small shows sell out very quickly. July 29th and 30th are the only public live performances booked for 2022 and my first since the plague hit. (Your ticket includes those extra pesky Eventbrite fees.)

Doors at 6 p.m. Show at 7 p.m. sharp.

*** Please, No Talking, No Cellphones and No Recording during performance because it's a buzzkill *** In between tunes we'll be able to converse as needed - because that's part of the fun. Selfies are OK during intermission and at the end.

What can I bring into the event?

BYOB! Bring alcoholic beverages in; we just can't offer them. Roebling has tasty snacks for purchase and will provide cups, ice and water.

Yes! Merch Girl Swany Fetters will offer a nice little assortment of goodies, some rare.

Plus, it's a curated bookstore you may find irresistible.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

No minimum age – but adult themes, humor, and a gleeful obscenity or two always pop up during a Fetters show.

What are my parking options?

Plenty of spaces on the streets around the bookstore.

What's the refund policy?

Due to limited ticketing there are no refunds.

Oh, shit! In that case is my ticket transferrable?

Yep – just make sure the transferee is as nice as you and lets the door person know.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please do – but a screen shot on your phone will suffice. We'll have your name on a list in case you forget.

Wheelchair access?

Yes. Roebling has a ramp, wide hallways and it'll be a snap to move chairs around to accomodate.
