Event description
Come on over to experience an evening with me and, even better, Rob Fetters!

About this Event

"I have driven thousands of miles and lost a job just to see Rob perform!"– Mason Miller

From Rob:

"Please join in for this intimate evening of music. I'll perform my life's work and together we'll make a ruckus in Mason’s house. I've been lucky and played a lot of exciting gigs in cool places but house concerts have a special magic vibe all their own. It gets (comfortably) loud – but there will be sweet spots where you could hear a pin drop with dynamics virtually unattainable in a larger space. Please BYOB and munchies and relax – it's not a bar!

I've thrown everything into a career-spanning show performing material I wrote for The Raisins, The Bears, psychodots, my solo albums, and debuting new songs.

It's an overbuilt show: from stripped down acoustic / vocal renditions to plenty of rocked-out electric ones backed with studio tracks custom mixed from the source sessions, including cameos from some notable musicians. I really have to play my heart out to keep up. My Bose system sounds killer so you'll hear what I hear. My son Sam describes the concert as a "performance + guitar + recording workshop + story telling hour". Except that it runs 3 hours including a break midway to freshen your drinks and grab a snack.

Only 40 tickets are available for this event so please don't wait too long to get one...."

Here's some more info about Rob, and what some other folks say about him:

“Rob Fetters? Great songs. Great performances. Great vocals. Great Googly Moogly!”– Adrian Belew / King Crimson, David Bowie, NIN, Talking Heads....

“Wow, I’m floored – a masterpiece Rob!! When I listen, I immediately want to listen again! ”– Dan Reed / Music Director WXPN

"I went to a club in San Francisco and saw Rob play on stage and have to say that moment shook me to the core – blowing my mind. If you get a chance to see him in concert, do not miss it!” - Matt Malley / Counting Crows

"A criminally underrated guitarist" - Rod Lockwood / Gannet Media

“The songs stick, though the lyrics are so matter-of-fact about bent sex to make me wonder what the really kinky people in Cincinnati are like.” - Robert Christgau

Bio:

Rob Fetters has spent decades making records and performing music on the edgy fringe of American power pop. He is regarded by his fans as a guitar hero and brilliant singer/songwriter.

Fetters co-founded the legendary 80’s avant-guitar pop band The Bears alongside singer/guitarist Adrian Belew, which reformed in 2002 to top AAA charts with Car Caught Fire, including a collaboration with King Crimson’s Robert Fripp. He also fronted the legendary 80s Midwest group The Raisins and the cult underground 90s alt-pop band psychodots. In his wildly diverse career, Fetters has also played with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, produced other artists, including Dawg Yawp and Afro-Pop records, toured alongside Over the Rhine, and shared stages with KISS, Todd Rundgren, Cheap Trick, and The Heartless Bastards. He's cited by MGMT founder Ben Goldwasser as an early influence. He is also an award-winning commercial music composer, having scored hundreds of spots for national ad campaigns.
