Leading materials supplier Covestro will host its first-ever automotive mobility summit, “RoadTrip 2030: Designing today for the passengers of tomorrow.”

This half-day event will bring together the innovative players that are leading the charge toward a driverless future – from automakers, suppliers and ridesharing companies to research, engineering and design institutes. These diverse perspectives will converge to ignite a conversation around the future of mobility.

And we want you to be part of the journey! Join us for RoadTrip 2030 to:

RoadTrip 2030 will feature a keynote presentation, panel discussions, fireside chats and a virtual reality tour, convening a diverse group of attendees from companies who have a stake in the future of automotive mobility. The dynamic, half-day program is intended to inspire, motivate and engage. Below is a working agenda, which will continue to be updated as speakers are confirmed:

Covestro will unveil its new virtual reality program, giving attendees the opportunity to experience what vehicle interiors could look like in 2030.

1:15 p.m. Fireside chat: Covestro collaboration with College for Creative Studies
Covestro and the College for Creative Studies in Detroit have a longstanding history of collaboration, exploring the relationship between automotive design and advanced materials. This session will highlight the latest projects underway, with a focus on autonomous vehicles.

1:30 p.m. Panel 2: The intersection of automotive and high-tech: What will the passenger experience look like?

This panel will explore the evolution of autonomous vehicle technologies from diverse perspectives, as panelists weigh in on the passenger experience, design possibilities, the potential of self-driving vehicles and the timetable to get there.

This panel is a follow-up to the earlier discussion, shifting the conversation from ‘what’ to ‘how’ – how will these future passenger experiences be realized and how will materials need to evolve to enable the vehicles of tomorrow?
