Event Details

City Year is an education organization - fueled by national service and AmeriCorps. We partner with public schools in high-poverty communities to help kids graduate from high school, ready for college or a career. Our AmeriCorps members work in schools full-time – from first bell through the afterschool program. More than 80% are recent college graduates – hired through a selective process – and get more than 300 hours of professional training. They learn how to tutor and help kids develop life skills, like teamwork and setting goals, that are important in school and out. Alongside teachers and school leaders, we give kids more individualized attention and promote a positive culture throughout the whole school.

The day will begin in the City Year DC, where visitors will meet staff and current corps, participate in a workshop, and head out to visit a team serving in a school.

Will be discussing entry-level job opportunities.
