YOU ARE REGISTERING FOR 1 SUNDAY, AND-OR 3 MORE STAURDAYS.

Clinic is free to BRBC members using code provided in email. Clinic is $25.00 for non-members and includes a free 2019 BRBC membership! Broadmoor UMC members contact Bruce Wickert for your code.


Always wanted to try riding the beautiful byways of Louisiana, but felt intimidated by open roads, or riding in groups? Just starting out, and want to improve your skill set? If so, THIS IS THE TRAINING SERIES FOR YOU!

BRBC Ride Chairman, Bruce Wickert, is leading BRBC's Spring Road Rider Clinic. The clinic hosted over three Saturdays (March 9, 16, and 23), is the perfect foundation for becoming a better road rider. Listed below is a brief synopsis of each class:

ROAD BIKE RIDER Session 1 of 3

Sat. March 9 9:00AM—Sat. March 9, 2019, 12:00PM

BRBC's annual Road Bike Clinic has moved to 3 Saturdays in March at a new location in Baton Rouge

This event is open to all BRBC members, either new, or experienced, who want to take their riding to the next level of safety, and comfort in 3 sessions, one each Saturday.

Topics include:
1. Traffic Law & Driving a Bike
2. Communications & Signaling
3. Intersections & Turns
4. Sidewalks, Trails, & Night Riding
5. Miscellaneous Tips
6. Crashes: Hazard Avoidance
7. Layers of Protection
8. Causes of Crashes
9. Parking Lot Hazard Avoidance Drills
a. Emergency Braking
b. Scanning
c. Rock Dodge
d. Quick Turn

Bring your bike to practice hazard avoidance techniques in the parking lot.
All other materials provided, but you must sign up on Eventbrite.

Bring your bike to practice driving your bike techniques on a "C" paced ride in the neighborhood.
All other materials provided, but you must sign up on Eventbrite.

This event is open to all BRBC members, either new, or experienced, who want to take their riding to the next level of safety, and comfort in 3 sessions, one each Saturday. This week does not require prerequisites of previous two weeks, and includes session on using the RidewithGPS route and cue sheet system that is a benefit to members.

Bring your bike to practice bike etiquette techniques, and following a map, cue sheet, or RWGPS device, done on a "C" paced ride in the town.
