Join us for the 86th annual convention of the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association, in beautiful Denver, Colorado.We have some great programming in store for this year, starting off with an afternoon of programming on Thursday, 4/14 for both students and faculty.
For faculty, come celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Portenier-Wertheimer Teaching Conference on Thursday, featuring namesake Dr. Michael Wertheimer as the Teaching Conference keynote speaker.
For students, Thursday will feature an afternoon packed with student-centered programming, continuing our tradition of providing workshops and leadership and professional development opportunities for our student affiliates.
We will continue to celebrate the 85th anniversary of RMPA with a special Past-President's Panel and, in addition to the submitted presentations of our conference attendees, we have a remarkable line-up of invited and plenary speakers, including Drs. Chris Kilmartin (Psi Chi Distinguished Speaker), Mitch Handelsman (Past President's Address), Michelle Butler and Lauren Scharff (Presidential Address), Emily Balcetis (RMPA Alumni Address), Bernadette Park (Invited Diversity Address), Thomas Joiner (APA Distinguished Scientist Address), Jesse Purdy (Gardner Memorial Lecture), C. Nathan DeWall (Worth Invited Address), Ray Bull (Special Invited Address), Gary A. Packard (Special Invited Address), and Mary Kite (Special Invited Address).
Also, new this year to RMPA, we will be offering sessions in which APA-approved Continuing Education credits may be earned toward licensure requirements. If interested, look for the Continuing Education option in registration.
