About this event
Welcome to Queerburners: Rainbow Leadership Series. We are a non-profit dedicated to community and culture building for LGBTQAI+ 10 Principles base ideologies around the ideas of Burning Man. We are a grass roots organization with a focus. We are not an officially sanctioned organization that is a part of the Burning Man Project.
This online series is created to scaffold our journey back to Black Rock City after three years away, with the active commitment to return even more grounded in the 10 Principles than ever before.
Episode 4: Radical Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (RIDE)
There are all kinds of voices in the community sharing what the RIDE acronym represents. It is a place of work, of discomfort, and of learning to be better. This session will discuss topics through a RIDE lens including accountable spaces, navigation of challenges, and safety both in camps and on the playa at this year’s Burning Man to provide radically inclusive spaces for all members of our community.
There are all kinds of voices in the community sharing what the RIDE acronym represents. It is a place of work and discomfort and learning to be better to each other in our lives.
We are joined by some exciting panel guests including:
- Ariel Vegosen: Co Founder of Gender Blender Theme Camp, Co Founder of Queerdome for psychedelic harm reduction at the burn, and Gender Illumination. Gender Inclusivity Trainer, Workshop Facilitator, Writer, Educator, Mentor, Performance Artist, and Consultant. Ariel is the CEO of Shine Diversity a company that creates clear pathways to diversity and inclusion. For the past 18 years has facilitated trainings, workshops, and retreats for organizations, corporations, nonprofits, schools, communities, and faith based groups.
- Tiya Coleman is a community leader in Las Vegas. She is a Regional Contact for Burning Man, a Meta Regional, and a powerful voice in the community.
- Prince Barron is also a community leader and fierce voice for the RIDE initiative at Burning Man.
Join us for a stimulating and educational evening with these great voices. Hosted by Terror, a member of the Queerburners Board.
Questions are welcome. There will be a brief, and moderated, Q&A later in the discussion.
