IT'S ABOUT TIME!

About this Event

The RiverTown Cut - Calisthenics/Street Workout Competition hosted in conjunction with RiverTowns exclusive training facility, CrossFit BMW is bringing awarness and organization to the sport of Street Workouts. It is a true test of foundation bodyweight exercises, strength and stamina.

NO COMPETITION EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

This competition was created with the goal to atleast once a year provide an opportunity for all the local active street workout and calisthenics athletes to show case their respective abilities in the sport and take home the title of Street Workout /Freestyle Champion.

Official rules will be released on or by September 16, 2019 so stay tuned for that.

We will have two main categories, one scaled category, one free style category, one strength catagory and one power category.

OPEN:

Perfect for anyone who's trying to test their strength and or build their technique. If it's your first time competing and you are not sure where you stand, or you plan to use scaling options, the OPEN competition is for you!

Only those exercise repetitions, which are done correctly, are accepted and counted, and the winner is the participant who has performed the most overall reps with precision according to movement standards.

ELITE:

You have been doing calisthenics and want to elevate and compete with the best of the best. For the elites, there is a prerequisite, you must be able to do a clean muscle up. If you meet that requirement, then you're eligible to compete in the ELITE category.

Only those exercise repetitions, which are done correctly, are accepted and counted, and the winner is the participant who has performed the most overall reps with precision and speed according to movement standards.

FREE STYLE:

Each participant (open and elite) is given time in two rounds to show their best performance.

*2 minute timecap for each exercise with a 30 second rest in between. All done in a single heat

Participants have one qualification round, and after this round, the best athletes go to the second and or third round.

ELITE CATEGORY

PRE-REQUISITE: Able to do a clean bar muscle up. If you meet that requirement, then you're eligible to compete in the ELITE, Free Style, Strength, and Power Category if you qualify.

ELITE: You have ben doing calisthenics and want to elevate and compete with the best body weight strength athletes in the community.

Max rep muscle ups (unbroken)

Max rep push ups within a 2:00 time cap.

Max rep pull ups (unbroken)

Max rep squats within a 2:00 time cap.

Max rep toes to bar (unbroken)

Max rep dips within a 2:00 time cap

Style and peformance is very important. It is also important to work on the viewers and be very good at entertaining.

Participants have one qualification round, and, after this round, the best athletes go to the second round, where they are divided into pairs and the athletes have to compete with each other in pairs in street workout and calisthenics freestyle battles. The winner of every battle qualifies for the final round, where top five athletes also compete with each other in a battle competition format.

POWER CATEGORY:

Male and Female Catagory competing in:

And consisting of different exercises, in which the participants have to perform a set number of repetitions in the shortest amount of time.

Only those exercise repetitions, which are done correctly, are accepted and counted, and the winner is the participant who has performed them the greatest speed and precision according to movement standards.

STRENGTH CATEGORY:

And consisting of a triple combination, in which the participants have to perform three power elements all for the maximum number of repetitions with added extra weights. The winner is considered to be the participant who can perform the largest number of exercise repetitions in total of all three elements.
