Rivers Are Alive Volunteer Educator Training

Monday, August 28 from 9am – 2pm, Osceola River Landing

Training Agenda

9:00 AM – Introductions and community building

9:15 AM - Goals of St. Croix Riverway & Watershed Education – Jean VanTatenhove

9:30 AM – Aquatic Invasive Species Overview & Watershed Work Updates with Angelique Dahlberg

10:00 AM - Walk through of program components and a typical school program

11:00 AM – Water Windows & ID Guide Training with Bonnie Ploger

Noon – Working lunch with program discussion (Lunch provided by SCRA)

1:00 PM – Water Windows & ID Guide Training with Bonnie Ploger

1:30 PM – Wrap up/Q&A

Stuff to bring:

-Water

-Sunscreen

-Bug Spray

-Water shoes that strap securely to your feet or rubber boots…you will be wading in the river

-Appropriate layers for the weather
